    The ODNR Division of Wildlife and Parks & Watercraft (Scenic Rivers) is holding their 3rd annual spring birding event in the Shenango Wildlife Area (one of Audubon's Important Bird Areas in Ohio) along the now state designated Pymatuning Creek Wild & Scenic River on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at 8:00am.  Join ODNR to observe and photograph the variety of migratory birds at this unique wildlife area.     The Appalachian Forest School, Advanced Inter-disciplinary field studies for the serious nature student. Two consecutive nights of field trips - with days free to rest and explore the Sanctuary on your own - will teach you the primary species and species complexes that are in courtship during this peak week of firefly activity. In addition to learning to recognize the distinct flash patterns of each species, you will also learn about firefly conservation, ecology, and natural history.   For more information, click on the link above.
