Sunday, June 4, Birding by Kayak at The Adaptive Adventure Sports Coalition (TAASC), 6000 Harriott Rd, Powell, Ohio 43065 by Twin Lakes and north of Shawnee Hills.  The TAASC has close to 50 kayaks, tandems and canoes and trained personnel to help everyone have a great time watching birds from the water.  Enjoy making cool bird discoveries while staying dry! 

Visit the TAASC website to learn more.  The Adaptive Adventure Sports Center has many programs for veterans, adults, and children with disabilities encouraging them outside to do fun things safely with trained volunteers.

Some Ohio Young Birders Club members and past members will be your bird guides. This is a Columbus Audubon event and is listed on their calendar of events. www.columbusaudubon.org

Members and guests of Columbus Audubon are invited to register for a tour of Twin Lakes and Scioto River for Birding by Kayak.

All first-timers are required to take a brief safety and skills lesson. TAASC provides kayaks, paddles, and life jackets. All persons in TAASC boats are required to wear their life jacket and have it completely fastened while on the water.

Cost:

$20.00 Birding by kayak
$10.00 Birding by kayak with own boat

 

Payment can be paid online with a credit card at the time of registration, or with cash or check on the day of the event.

It is $20.00 per person to paddle and $10.00 each if you have your own kayak. Cash or check, can use PayPal online on the TAASC website. Some of our amazing young birders will help to point out and identify the birds you will likely see.
