Friends of Brown's Lake Bog Nature Preserve

Come meet like-minded people who are interested in and care about Brown’s Lake Bog Nature Preserve. Be part of a discussion around the formation of a volunteer “friends group” to support The Nature Conservancy’s efforts to steward this unique natural treasure. A friends group provides a mechanism for passionate citizens to volunteer their time, interest, experience and expertise and help define and advance common goals. Brown’s Lake Bog is a 99-acre preserve located on Brown Road in Shreve, Wayne County, Ohio and owned and managed by The Nature Conservancy. It is designated as a National Natural Landmark and State Nature Preserve and home to many rare and unusual plants and animals. The preserve is open the public year-round from dawn to dusk and has approximately one mile of boardwalk and earthen trails.
