Hybrid Professional and Volunteer Continuing Education: Improving Weather and Climate Understanding

This workshop will help you increase your knowledge, skills, and capacity to integrate Ohio-relevant weather and climate topics into both public and professional environmental education and outreach. The course includes an in-person learning session on March 25 from 5-8 PMEST at the Ohio Farm Bureau 4-H Center on The Ohio State University Main Campus and supplemental online resources designed to prepare you for new concepts explored during the live event.
The in-person session includes an introduction to Ohio’s weather and climate; strategies for bringing weather and climate science to your community; impacts of climate change in Ohio; and community science and effective communication practices. The course features engaging activities, videos, curated resources, and a short final assignment focused on applying knowledge directly to your work.
