    Day-long class is all about the wildlife in your woods. Learn about birds, amphibians and mammals making woods their home.  Attract a variety of species to your woodlot with proper management.  Monitor their presence.  The OSU Mansfield campus is diverse with vernal pools, mature woodlands, pollinator habitat, and more.  We will visit several of these spaces.  Please dress accordingly! 9:00 - Intro to Woodland Wildlife Management 10:00 - Deer Ecology and the Relation to Habitat 11:00 - Outside - Woodland Management demos 12:15 - lunch provided

    2-Day Summer Teacher's Workshop

    Have you always wondered what type of tree is the one you pass often?  Own a woodland and want to know what trees you have?  This workshop will give participants in-depth training and practice on identifying trees using leaves and other common characteristics.  The morning session of the class is indoor with intro ID clues and samples using a dichotomous key.  The afternoon is spent outside practicing!
