This is a pilot series of workshops for continuing education for Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalists designed to help understand the science behind citizen science, the type of projects available, and help identify which one might be right for you. 

Workshop One: Birds

Location: Stratford Ecological Center, Address: 3083 Liberty Road, Delaware, Ohio 43015

Time: 9-2PM EST.

Cost: Free. You must register

Most suitable for those new to citizen science or those who would like to try an intermediate or advanced project. Workshop size is limited to 40. 

Bring your own lunch.  We will supply coffee and snacks.

  • Learn the science behind citizen science and fundamentals of how to participate effectively;
  • Build awareness of the range of citizen science projects available and identify which one is right for you; and
  • Connect with and learn from other OCVNs.
