Free bird feeders from Cornel Lab

Jan. 26, 2017
Hello,
My name is Lindsay Glasner. I am the Outreach Coordinator at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology BirdSleuth K-12 Education Program. The BirdSleuth team is partnering with Pennington Wild Bird. We’re aiming to distribute window bird feeders to 10,000 teachers across the nation. I’m reaching out to you in the hopes you can help us distribute these free bird feeders to educators.

If you’re planning to lead any bird/nature focused workshops this winter/spring or would like to plan one, we’d be happy to send you free window bird feeders to give out to the teachers.  My job is to make your workshop as easy as possible. I can provide logistical support and a customizable PowerPoint presentation to help you organize and support your workshop. I’ll also help with promotional opportunities! We just ask that you introduce them to our Feathered Friends resources (free download) that are associated with the free window bird feeder. These workshops have been provided across the country to science teachers at the district level, at regional, state, and national conferences, and even as a one-hour event for homeschool families. We are quite flexible; our goal is to simply get as many bird feeders in classrooms and educational settings as possible. We are seeking workshop proposals to take place between now and June 2017.

If you are interested in this professional development opportunity, you can visit our website or contact me with any questions. I hope we can work together!

Best,

Lindsay Glasner
