These Hills are Alive!

April 24, 25, 26 2015

Great Speakers + Great Location + Great People =

One hundred and twenty five OCVNs and Naturalists from around the state attended the 2015 OCVN State Conference at Camp Oty'okwa.  All had a good time despite the rain that occurred on Saturday. The hikes got a little wet and the trails a little slippery, but the natural beauty and scenery of the area made it all worthwhile!

Thanks to all of the hard work of the members of the Hocking Hills Region Chapter, especially Rebecca Osburn, Conference Chair,  Neil Fosnaugh, Chapter President and Lynn Huston, OCVN Award Chair.   Camp Oty'okwa is an excellent educational facility operated by Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Columbus. Challenging nature and team building programs are offered each year to over 8000 campers from the Columbus area.

A message is from the Conference Committee:

"We hope you all had a wonderful weekend and a safe trip home. Come back any time and explore the many state parks and preserves in Southeast Ohio. These Hills Are Alive and ready for you to discover!"
Check out photos and other information from the Conference on Facebook!
